Adi Arkay – Telemt (DejachMeda) road is located in North Gondar Administration Zone of the Amhara National Regional State. The starting point of the project is adjacent to the Adi Arkay town, which is about 180 km from Gondar town (94 km from Debark via Limalimo gorge) or some 16 km away from the Adi Arkay Town along the Adi Arkay – Indesellassie road.
The Employer is Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA); the Employer Representative is Civil works Consulting Engineers P.L.C. The total contract price is ETB 1,981,378,049.64 (ETB: One Billion Nine Hundred Eighty-One Million Three Hundred Seventy-Eight Thousand Forty-Nine & 64/100) including 15% VAT.
The proposed road is intended to be built to the DC4 road standard with AC for the whole section of the road project from the beginning to the end and design project length is 76.03 km. Also the work includes demolishing and removal of substandard structures and construction of new culverts and Bridges when the route traverses along the existing road if required.
