The Employer is Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA); the Employer Representative is Sheladia Associate Inc. in Sub consultancy with HITCON Engineering Plc. The total contract price is ETB 1,850,695,155.03 including VAT.
The project road is located in the Southern part of Ethiopia, Southern Nations and Nationalities Peoples Regional State (SNNPRS). The project passes through Gurage and Silte Zones. The route connects Mareko Wereda of Gurage zone and Lanfero Wereda, Mitto Wereda and Dalucha Wereda of Silte Zone.
The project involves selection of best alignment along the control points, designing and constructing of the road with design class of DC-5 with Asphalt concrete surfacing (AC) Standard. The work includes demolishing and removal of substandard structures and construction of new culverts and Bridges when the route traverses along the existing road if required.
